Recently, Headway attended the AAPOR Annual Conference in Austin, Texas. This year’s theme was “Reshaping the Research Landscape: Public Opinion and Data Science”. We caught up with Headway’s own Enterprise Sales Manager, Alan Zdanowski, to ask about his experience at the conference.
What is AAPOR?
AAPOR is the American Association for Public Opinion Research. The organization is the guiding force in the arenas of social/scientific research. Organizations and institutions alike acknowledge the generally accepted practices and guidelines outlined by AAPOR. During meetings and presentations through the year, research professionals learn from each other to generate data that is increasingly statistically accurate.
There is a national AAPOR as well as regional associations. The event we most recently attended was the Annual conference for the national chapter. We attend some regional events such as SAPOR, PAPOR and DCAPOR.
Why did Headway attend?
The AAPOR annual is a great way to catch up with existing clients, meet new prospects, and learn about industry trends.
What clients (if any) did you see or interact with?
We spoke with Thoroughbred, University Of Michigan, RTI, RAND Corporation, and ICF.
Stay tuned for updates on future conferences Headway in Research attends!
